THE PARKING SLOT REQUIREMENT
Do you have a parking slot for your new car?
Authorities have been working on a bill with a new requirement if you wish to buy a new car. Do you have a legit parking space at home? If you answered NO then your dream to have your own car may have to wait until you secure a decent parking slot in your garage.
The city roads and streets should always and at all times be passable no matter how big or small their sizes are. It's clear...It has to be "PASSABLE"... meaning there shouln't be any other distractions on both sides of the way. People's feedback on this has created a division based from their own views and opinion because they know that some of them may not be able to comply with the new requirement.
It's, undeniably, going to be one of the main requirements that would either hinder buyers to purchase a new car or make their lives easier going through the process of acquiring a new unit. In short, there's a 50-50 chance owning a car from this point.
The purpose is to promote "responsible vehicle ownership in the country"... where people should be aware of their obligations upon owning a vehicle, parking it in the appropriate and legal parking space, not in front or beside their houses blocking almost 35% of the driveway and even leaving nothing for the pedestrians to set foot on sidewalks.
For so many years, we have been blinded with the culture that it's okay to park our cars on sidewalks for as long we're not blocking the major part of the driveway but, unfortunately, that culture has to change, and for the sake of everyone, it has to end. No matter which angle you take a look at it...It's just "unacceptable"... Those old habits are obviously some of the things we're doing wrong from the very start because it always results to a terrible traffic on all our roads.
It was never right to block the driveway. Nobody would ever agree that it's okay to block the driveway. The usual sidewalks where we park our cars are not even a part of our own properties, hence, we're not allowed to park there. It's never too late to resolve the growing problem in traffic and illegal parking. All we have to do is contribute to what would improve the current situation on the roads and streets, thus, acknowledging the rules that few of us are having a difficult time to follow must be done.
Some are worried that the process has become more complex and complicated but many still believe that it's placed there not just for the minority to gain from it but, truly, solving the serious problem of congested streets nationwide that would finally give a significant amount of favor and convenience to the majority of us.
If you ask us, it shouldn't be that difficult buying a car here in our country. For as long as long you can provide the complete requirements, it should come easy...
The real question now surfaces. What about those people who already bought their cars before the requirement is even made effective? Should the car owners start packing up and just drive away??? We'll find out once the requirement has been fully implemented. We're pretty sure the arrangements will be fair enough for them.
